Honey Hot Toddy

Delicious anytime! An excellent HOME-ADE replacement for commercial electrolyte drinks. Commonly used during illness, recovery and fasts. Effective as a cough syrup and expectorant. Fresh citrus juice provides vitamin C, sea salt provides minerals, glucose in honey provides immediate energy to our cells.
1/2 Cup+ Warm or Hot Water

1/2 Cup Raw Unfiltered Honey

1/2 Cup Fresh Squeezed Citrus Juice

A few grains of Sea Salt

1 drop of essential oil (optional)

Makes approximately 1 quart of hot toddy

Thoroughly mix honey and warm water. Add citrus juice and a few grains of sea salt. Mix well and serve. You may prefer slightly sweeter (more honey), tangy or tart (more citrus) or milder (more water) hot toddy.

Essential oils can be a great asset in helping keep our immune systems healthy. Our favorite oils to add to this hot toddy are lemon, wild orange or grapefruit.
